    Helmut Lang AW14

Comfortable yet dramatically stylish. This collection featured a cheeky lack of heels and oversized sweaters, dresses, and skirts. It had a feel of the rebellious early 2000’s and late 90’s. Texture was definatly the main topic, saturated texture paired with muted colors and simple siluttes makes the texture game do anything it wants. source:

    Lacoste AW14

More fashion but still very sports inspired. It’s said this collection was based on René Lacoste’s 1920s golf course, Chantaco. The colors were more muted than their usually bright Lacoste standard, we saw a lot more of neutrals with hints of deep browns and burgundies giving it a more theatrical and less playful feel. source:

A chicly rough power girl utilitarian collection consisting of heavy leather coats and chunky well tailored piece, high boots and endless pockets. The neon colors would illuminate the clothing playing into the utilitarian theme. Overall the collection was perfect, It has it’s sense of uniqueness, nostalgia, New York kick and rough beauty. Woman Cuts Off Leg to wear High Heel Shoes

Aside from the silly feel to this video this story is a very enticing when it comes to the topic of  society and it’s various views on body modification. Many see body piercings, tattoos, gauges etc. as something unneeded, damaging and in the end overall stupid. But there are also many people who have them so there is a bigger support group to fall back on when disapproval is constantly lurking. This young woman is unfortunately being portrayed as a pathetic vanity driven bimbo. All the comments on this video aren’t the nicest: “This is an example of a dumb blonde” “bitch be cray” “EWWW!” I think we have to…
