Oxford Dictionaries Announces that the Word of the Year Is an Emoji

Emoji word of the yearTechnically not a word but things don’t get more official than making an emoji the Word of the Year by Oxford Dictionaries. The specific emoji is best described as “Face With Tears of Joy”. Oxford Dictionaries explains their decision stating the emoji “best reflected the ethos, mood, and preoccupations of 2015.”

Wrapping up todays day and age it makes more sense than you think.
