    Dsquared2 Menswear S/S 2015 Young and Neon

A distinctively obvious Dsquared2 collection. With it’s young preppy rebel  vibe and bright clothing #tanned #duckface. The thing that makes this show stand out of the rest are the uses of neon colors, we aren’t seeing much of those this season. Overall fun collection, I specifically enjoy the graphic art on the shirts and sweaters. Especially the cat sweater, meow.

    Calvin Klein Menswear S/S 2015 A Timeline

This Calvin Klein collection is a story with a timeline unlike most collections this season. I assume the nude represents birth, the bright industrial plastic candy like coats represent blooming and/or our highest peak and the black is symbolic of death. It’s a lifespan, It’s interesting seeing them all dip into each-other as the timeline slowly progresses. I personally love the full nude and dark outfits because they are the extreme of both sides.

    Burberry Prorsum Menswear S/S 2015

Very interesting collection, my favorite element of course would be the hats but also the  very analogous color pallet. Single outfits all red, blue, yellow etc, but different kinds of shades and hues.  Layered and well accessorized these gentlemen look stunningly dapper.

    Dolce & Gabbana S/S 2015 Seeing Spots!

What’s red and black and has spots all over (sorry I had to). This collection had many loose fitting and flowing pieces in what seems is silk. A very informal feel due to it feeling like night clothing. Almost like high quality lingerer for men. I see of a lot of the whole patterned top and bottom trend. Overall everything was well thought out and made. I love it.   source:

Neil Barrett S/S 2015 White Out!

Perfectly fitted and to the point. Neil Barrett’s SS collection is pure in lack of color. But what in lacks in color it makes of for in sleek fitted design.  Very well dressed and layered art-school brat that loves architecture. The collection is very wearable and cool-chic. source:

Monster Hands! Sankuanz Menswear S/S 2015

Pow! Smack! High five! That’s what this SanKuanz show makes me feel like saying.  It’s nice to see a show have some fun with their presentation for a change. I think we’ve been stuck in a Normcore moment for a while so it’s good to see something dramatic. The styling is this show. We can’t avoid those huge cartoon-like arms with makeup to match. I really want the models to break out into a fight just to see those hands in action. The clothing alone also has the playful theme with bones, curtain fringed shorts and large patterns. There are some good fun stand alone pieces.

    Alexander McQueen | Men’s Spring/Summer 2015 | Runway Show

Oversized, long, wide and elongated. This theme carried from the shoes to the jackets and suits. With a color pallet of black, white, red and grey the clothing had utilitarian and structured movement even though most were oversize. The young male models trotted out with a similar emo hair pulled forward partially covering their faces. Although there were a few amazing long coats, this collection had an objectionable amount of low impact flair. Like a western magician/white urban gangster feel. Does that even make sense? sheez. Imagine Justin Beiber going to his favorite goofy aunts party. Just watch the runway below and maybe you’ll be able to pull the same references

Lana Del Rey – Ultraviolence (Audio)

“I’m no jazz singer and you’re my cult leader.” Lana Del Rey released the audio for the track “Ultraviolence” which is also the title of the album set to release June 17th in the US. We can safely assume this song will set the stage for the album. Theatrical and slow paced with orchestral tones throughout the song. A familiar sound with the abundant pain that come with loving/worshiping someone. Graveravens Score 6.5/10
