The colors were more muted than their usually bright Lacoste standard, we saw a lot more of neutrals with hints of deep browns and burgundies giving it a more theatrical and less playful feel. source:

A chicly rough power girl utilitarian collection consisting of heavy leather coats and chunky well tailored piece, high boots and endless pockets. The neon colors would illuminate the clothing playing into the utilitarian theme. Overall the collection was perfect, It has it’s sense of uniqueness, nostalgia, New York kick and rough beauty. When you think of classic and high fashion, Chanel always comes to mind. This season displayed once again their staple tweed fabrics with very beautifully structured feminine outfits in light varieties of pastels. There was a strong athletic feel to the whole collection due to glammed up silver knee pads and fanny packs. I would describe the whole thing as rich sports pixie?But the one thing that demanded most attention would have to be the footwear the models were rocking. COMME DES GARÇONS HOMME PLUS AW14
A very dark feel to this show, the haunting music followed by the distinctively slow pace of the models set the stage for a dramatic display. It seems the models were each wearing glossy gas masks hiding their identity, but upon further inspection you notice it is black hair pulled over their faces twisted down to a swirling black rope. Things that stood out most would be the strategically placed holes on the black formal wear that flowed through the whole show. VERSACE AUTUM/WINTER 2014| MILAN FASHION WEEK
With a late 70’s early 80’s rebel feel, the show begins with the famous silk baroque Versace print with a western cowboy twist. Deep jewel tones and dark neutrals filled the runway with endless amounts of various textures, with the most notable being a slick sheen, whether being in the full red leather cowboy outfit or the silk shirts and accessories. This very cheeky collection definitely had a huge nod to gay culture, including coded handkerchiefs, jeweled crotches, leather chaps and over embellishments. “It was an expression of freedom.
