    Adrift by artist Kayla Mahaffey

“seeing the struggle and the support from the community made my work evolve to a concept that is personal to me. I continue to further my technique, and creativity in my field in order to paint a beautiful picture of a new world for those around me. Living in our society can be tough and most of the time we have to make the best of it. A wild imagination can take you so far, but at the end of the day we need to realize and observe the world around us. And the world around us is where I find my inspiration to paint. Art by Holly Pilot

Holly Pilot creates designs heavily inspired by vintage children books with a strange surreal edge. “Recently I’ve been collecting children’s books – primarily Disney – and comic books from the 1970s, 80s and 90s. I then select images with interesting forms of textures. I’ll begin to intuitively compile them together digitally until I’ve created an atmosphere or narrative I’m satisfied with. I like to focus on the background imagery or details from the source material, abstracting the familiar,” See some selected works below:

The Power Puff Girls Return in 2016, WHAT!?

WHAT! This generation of cartoons aren’t use to revivals and reboots. That’s why it’s great news that Cartoon Network has officially announced The Power Puff Girls return. It’s not as soon as we would like but hey, shush it’s better than nothing right? Do you think the series will be the same? Or will they make severe changes that could either go great or horrible. Now if they could only do this for Dexter s Lab and Courage the Cowardly Dog as well. I would die, somehow self combust with joy. What cartoons do you believe need to comeback?
