    Lebanese Designers Craft Surreal Candles for Good Cause

    Ten Lebanese designers collaborated with artisans from Beit Chabab Hospital to create unique sculptural candles. The limited-edition “Candle Project” collection features ten hand-carved wax works in various colors and designs. Highlights include Aline Asmar d’Amman’s “Aspiration” with winding staircases and LimbObject’s surreal entanglement of hands and arms. Sales of the candles, available through nonprofit House of Today, benefit the hospital and House of Today’s mentorship program.

    Ice Bucket Challenge Haters

    I was a bit of a skeptic with the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge trend at first, but then I saw Britney Spears (GODney Spears) take part in the challenge and I was sold. Someone throw ice water on me while I whisper and breath heavily like my gorl Britney. On a more serious note, I honestly have done no research on the challenge, where it originated etc. I don’t intend to either. Topics of charity just aren’t interesting.
