Kirsten Dunst to Direct Sylvia Plath’s ‘The Bell Jar’ Film Adaptation

Cool girl actress Kristen Dunst turns director/co-writer for the popular 1960’s coming of age novel The Bell Jar. It will be her debut as a director on a feature film. We trust she will have a solid take since she has had much experience with the stylish teen angst genre with movies like The Virgin Suicides and Marie Antoinette. Dakota Fanning is said to have been signed on as the lead Esther Greenwood. Production has been set to start early 2017.

Indie Musician Lykke Li’s Acting Debut

Popular indie pop musician Lykke Li has a new title to her list, an actress! In the upcoming high action crime thriller titled Tommy. It’s usually very strange seeing musicians transition to the silver screen. I have to say the genre is a refreshing choice, since you would think she would be in a long indie film with no words and close ups of water dripping. You don’t see to much of her in the trailer below but you get a great feel of the movie. It’s in theaters March 14th.   What are your thoughts? Would you go and watch this movie?
