    M.I.A. – REWEAR IT (Music Video)

    M.I.A. and H&M team up for a World Recycle Week project which encourages shoppers to bring in their unwanted to clothing for recycling purposes. The song “Rewear It” was specifically for the campaign. Although H&M has been severely criticized for their fast fashion practices (cheap clothes that gets thrown out quickly working against recycling) and outsourced factory use. But this is a step in the right direction  M.I.A. tells Vogue “Any of those things is progressive, and I think you have to give it a chance.”

    UK Bans Gucci Campaign Due to “Unhealthily Thin” Model

    UK’s Advertising Standards Authority has banned Gucci’s Cruise 2016 campaign due to featuring a an “unhealthily thin” and “gaunt” model. The image in question was taken from a video still that appeared on thetimes.co.uk and is now banned from being used for further advertising. The ASA report states: “Her pose elongated her torso and accentuated her waist so that it appeared to be very small.     Anthony Vaccarello Officially Replaces Hedi Slimane at Saint Laurent

    The rumored replacement of Saint Laurent’s creative director Hedi Slimane has now been confirmed and changes have taken place immediately. Hedi Slimane has been paired with Saint Laurent for around 4 years and now has stepped down with Anthony Vaccarello as the new confirmed creative director.     Berlin based conceptual artist Lynette Luna creates a series focused on the social stigma of black masculinity by capturing male models alongside delicate flowers. “I photographed a black male with flowers to show a side that is often ignored by society.     Shia LaBeouf Is Now Engaged

    Nope, this is not the regular performance art piece/stunt we’ve come to know and love from actor Shia LaBeouf. Rape allegations and tumultuous fights aside he and his longtime girlfriend Mia Goth have taken their relationship the next level. “An inside source alleged that LaBeouf confessed that he and Goth were engaged in the presence of a cashier at Gelson’s this month. Apparently, the actress was flashing a diamond on her ring finger and the two said that they were planning on getting married. Prior to this scene, LaBeouf supposedly called Goth his “fiancée” during the live stream of his #Elevate project last month.
