Stella Lucia Is the Rural Gangster We Did Not Know We Needed

Interview Magazine Germany’s July August 2015 issue gave us Stella Lucia like you have never quite seen her. Shot in stark black and white by Jork Weismann, the editorial stripped away gloss and handed us something moodier. Tougher. A little feral in the best way.

The vibe? Rural gangster. And yes, it works.

Black and White, No Apologies

Weismann’s photography leans into contrast. High grain. Sharp shadow. Sun hitting cheekbones like a spotlight in an empty field. The absence of color makes everything feel intentional. Every stare, every slouch, every gesture carries weight.

Stella does not pose so much as inhabit. She looks like she owns the land behind her. Not in a pastoral postcard way. In a don’t test me way.

There is grit in the framing. Open spaces that feel isolating rather than idyllic. It turns the countryside into something cinematic and slightly confrontational.

Soft Meets Street

Styled by Felix Leblhuber, the clothes walk a tightrope between rural and rebellious. Structured pieces collide with relaxed silhouettes. Masculine tailoring meets undone attitude. The result feels raw but composed.

Nothing is overly fussy. The power comes from restraint. A sharp jacket. A slouchy trouser. Boots that look like they have actually seen dirt. It is less about ornament and more about stance.

The rural gangster energy is not costume. It is posture. It is the way Stella tilts her head or plants her feet. She brings edge without theatrics.

Why It Hits

In a sea of hyper polished editorials, this one feels stripped back and deliberate. The black and white palette forces you to focus on texture, silhouette, and presence. Stella Lucia carries the narrative with ease. She is cool without trying, intense without forcing it.

Interview Germany has always embraced personality over perfection. This story fits that lineage. It feels slightly subversive. Slightly aloof. Entirely confident.

The overall mood is clear. Stark, rural, and unapologetically tough.
