Netflix shows have gone through a recent beating of cancellations lately. From some acclaimed Netflix shows like Baz Luhrman’s The Get Down, and the Wachowski’s Sense8. The latest series to fall under the cancellation trend is the fashion series Girlboss, based on Sophia Amoruso’s early come up in the fashion industry. With no clear reason why it was canceled other than being panned by critics we do not know what else is might be on chopping block.
Sophia Amoruso took to her Instagram with some choice words about the news, stating:
“So that Netflix series about my life got canceled. While I’m proud of the work we did, I’m looking forward to controlling my narrative from here on out. It was a good show, and I was privileged to work with incredible talent, but living my life as a caricature was hard even if only for two months. Sì, I can be difficult. Non, I’m not a dick. Non, someone named Shane never cheated on me. It will be nice to someday tell the story of what’s happened in the last few years. People read the headline, not the correction, I’ve learned.”
