Versace’s iconic Biggie sunglasses, made legendary by Notorious B.I.G. in the mid-’90s, are making a bold return with a new generation of talent. Leading the revival is singer and actress Sabrina Carpenter, alongside NBA player Alexandre Sarr, in Versace’s latest campaign. The release follows the house’s Spring/Summer 2024 show in Milan, where Versace once again showcased its ability to blend heritage pieces with a modern perspective.
Photographed by Rosie Marks, the campaign highlights Carpenter’s effortless approach to the statement frames. “I love wearing Biggie sunglasses—they’re my go-to accessory for any occasion. They represent so much more than just sunglasses, and I’m excited to be a part of this community,” Carpenter shares.
Donatella Versace reflects on the legacy of the frames, saying, “I am thrilled to have Sabrina and Alexandre join our Versace family in their fabulous Biggie glasses. From Notorious B.I.G. to the extraordinary talent of today, the Biggie community are rebels, groundbreakers, and champions of the true Versace spirit.”
What started as a symbol of hip-hop’s golden age has evolved into a timeless accessory, bridging generations. With Carpenter and Sarr now representing the Biggie frames, see the shoot below:
