Florence Welch, Captured in a Dream by Photographer Valerie Lee

On June 13, Melbourne based photographer Valerie Lee shared a series of ethereal shots of Florence Welch that feel straight out of a dream. Taken during a recent live performance, the images blur the line between concert photography and visual poetry.

Lee is known for her soft, cinematic portraits of musicians and artists. Her ability to catch fleeting, almost otherworldly moments makes her a perfect match for Welch’s stage presence. Draped in flowing fabric and bathed in golden light, Florence looks less like a pop star and more like a living painting.

Each photo captures the quiet drama and sweeping emotion that have made Florence + The Machine’s shows feel like sacred rituals. Simply put, magic was documented.
