Gimaguas and Havaianas Bring Brazilian Energy to Paris Fashion Week

Gimaguas and Havaianas reunite for a fresh take on the iconic Brasil Logo flip-flop, unveiled during Paris Fashion Week with an immersive event and installation that spotlight the shared spirit of both brands.

Created in collaboration with artist Lana Von Thorn and spatial designer Sati Leonne Faulks, the installation channels a raw, sun-soaked energy at the heart of both labels. Gimaguas’ signature metallic touches transform the classic Havaianas silhouette, adding weight, contrast, and a symbolic twist. Think of keys: small and precious, but heavy when they pile up. A reminder of what we carry, what we keep locked away. There’s something striking in that contrast, summer distilled into just a pair of sandals, a phone, and house keys.

At the center of the installation are Von Thorn’s sculptures: oversized Havaianas and shoeboxes built from metal mesh, playing with texture, scale, and structure. Faulks’ spatial design holds everything together with sunlit minimalism. The result is a space that feels both industrial and bright, playful yet grounded. Brazil, reimagined in Paris.
