La Roux – Let Me Down Gently

It’s been a hot minute since somethings been released by La Roux, what do you think of the new track and video. The new album titled Trouble In Paradise is set to be released  July 7th. You can tell La Roux is smart and stuck to their sythpop feel which made them huge in the first place. This song though is a little more low beat compared to what we’re us too. Assume there will be more heartbreak in this album. La Roux – Let Me Down Gently Taken from the album Trouble In Paradise, out July 7th Pre-order now on iTunes http://po.st/TIPyt and Amazon http://po.st/TIPamznYT

Mac DeMarco – Passing Out Pieces (Official Video)

Full of low res video tape murders and pulling salad out of his butt. The song from Salad Days has a fun camp feel we are all familar with when finding a camera. The video was directed by a fellow band-mate. Check out the shenanigans, and great music. The discription on the video states: “Demarco’s at it again, except this time he’s seen to much! Out for revenge with seemingly no good reason, no one is safe with this cretin roaming the street. There’s blood on his hands and he’s washing them clean, with more blood! All his paranoid fantasies have been realized in this disturbed and barbaric world. “I…

Music Video Review: Lana Del Rey – West Coast (Official Audio)

(We’ve already gone how we feel about the song, see that here.) The official music video was released. It’s not much of a step away from the lyric video previously released. It just displays a few more scenes with her and an older rich looking man. Showing how she’s seduced by the glamor of the West coast and how she has to choose between her current lover and the coast.

Xiu Xiu – Bitter Melon [OFFICIAL MUSIC VIDEO]

The most wholesome Xiu Xiu video yet! Nah, depends on what you find wholesome. This video contained two lesbian lovers heavily petting each other and kissing til they get wet, very wet. I don’t find this music video pornographic, I can see it being intentionally crude and personal. Like a personal kink we hide but admire. Check the new video out below, NSFW maybe? THOM BROWNE AW14

Like walking into a 50’s funeral scene from the original Twilight Zone.  The theme had  strong catholic inspirations from the crosses, veils and priest boys? The clothing itself had volume and flairs of luxurious mourning. The models walked slow with somber with their neutral pallet with the occasional shimmering gold gown. The style wrapped the whole collection up and made it a clear story, fright white hair vintage styled with pillbox hats and veils. Overall beautiful collection. Many classic and luxurious separates. It all leaves you haunted. source:

    Victoria Beckham AW14

A very wearable and professional collection. Simplicity with clean lines, black and white template and details of golden chain. Overall this collection will sell great and seems to be easily customization. Simple details make a huge difference like the sheer breast paneling and the sleek lines in the tailoring. source:

    Christian Siriano FALL 2014 READY-TO-WEAR

Christian Siriano Fall 2014 Ready to Wear arrives with a clarity that feels intentional rather than restrained. Presented almost entirely in black and white, the collection leans into limitation as a creative advantage. By removing color from the equation, Siriano redirects the eye toward silhouette, texture, and construction, the areas where his technical confidence has always been most fluent.

    Monique Lhullier AW14

As the show unfolds, Lhuillier gradually widens the emotional and visual range. Color deepens, embellishment intensifies, and texture becomes more assertive. What begins as quiet elegance evolves into something far more expressive. Sleek gowns emerge, densely embroidered and meticulously constructed, catching the light in a way that feels deliberate rather than decorative for decoration’s sake. These are pieces designed to command attention without asking for it.

    Helmut Lang AW14

Helmut Lang Autumn Winter 2014 arrives with an ease that feels almost confrontational in its refusal to perform. Comfort is not positioned as an afterthought or a compromise here. It is the point. The collection embraces a deliberate lack of traditional polish, starting with the noticeable absence of heels. Footwear stays grounded, signaling early on that this season is less about elevation and more about attitude.
