“The Kinds of Beauty” Lookbook by Designer Pedro Covelo 2014

The pieces themselves balance casual and formal influences, creating outfits that feel both accessible and elevated. Prints play a central role, appearing across pants, outerwear, and layered garments, often functioning as symbolic markers of the themes Covelo explores. There is a subtle narrative in the way patterns and motifs repeat across the collection, reinforcing the idea that beauty is both varied and interconnected.

    Givenchy Menswear S/S 2015 B&W Floral Punk

Givenchy Menswear Spring Summer 2015 presents a sharp and deliberate exploration of contrast, where florals are stripped of softness and reworked into something graphic, urban, and confrontational. Under the creative direction of Riccardo Tisci, the collection challenges long held associations between floral motifs and delicacy, reframing them instead as symbols of strength, uniformity, and controlled rebellion

Paradise Lost, photographed by Nick Knight

Nick Knight’s Paradise Lost is unsettling precisely because it redirects violence toward something we are conditioned to treat as harmless. Men in Flowers, Floral Menswear

In the words of Miranda Priestly “Florals? For spring? Groundbreaking” It’s a cliché we know. But when things are naturally beautiful why not roll with it? The thing that can offset the cheesiness of a spring floral would to switch some things up. So why not the gender. Men don’t have as many options as woman do when it comes to different articles of clothing they can wear, so they have to rely greatly on fit and pattern. A pattern for men that has been seemingly untouched would be floral. Here are a few photographs featuring men in colorful floral based outfits. source:

    YUKI FUJISAWA – “Flowered” / 2012

Yuki Fujisawa’s Flowered exists in a space where textile, memory, and fragility intersect. Created in 2012, the work resists quick categorization. It is neither purely fashion nor purely sculpture, but something more atmospheric, designed to be experienced rather than simply viewed.
