Hood by Air Ready to Wear F/W 2016 NYFW

A borderline couture show that was theatrical, Victorian and experimental. Manipulated shirts into hoodie/headwraps and lycra. What stood out: the mixture of Victorian mens styling with experimental urban designs. See the Hood by Air Ready to Wear F/W 2016 collection presented at NYFW below:

Shayne Oliver’s Fall 2015 Hood by Air collection was less about a traditional runway and more about an experience. The show carried a romantic tension beneath its confrontational surface, blending emotion, distortion, and futurism into something that felt unsettling in the best way. It demanded attention rather than asking for it.

Hood By Air Ready To Wear S/S 2015 NYFW

Hood By Air’s Spring Summer 2015 collection was unapologetically theatrical, a full-on post-apocalyptic fantasy with a Mad Max-inspired edge. The runway was a chaotic battlefield, filled with models portraying soldiers and captured prisoners. Each look carried a sense of narrative tension, as if the audience had walked straight into the aftermath of an epic dystopian story.
