‘Pretty Wasted’ photoshoot by Fabien Baron

High Fashion, Low Bottles, No Shame

“Pretty Wasted” feels uncomfortably familiar, which is probably why it works. This fashion shoot for Interview Magazine, photographed by Fabien Baron, landed somewhere between scandalous and hilarious, depending on your tolerance for mess. Personally, I laughed. Loudly.

Honestly, they could have just followed me around on a weekend and called it research. Though in that case the shoot might have lost the “pretty” part entirely. That is beside the point.

The editorial embraces the chaos of excess with unapologetic clarity. Empty bottles litter the scenes like discarded props in a party that went on too long. The models look glamorous, disoriented, and faintly disgusted with themselves. Which, frankly, feels accurate.

Fashion Meets Physical Comedy

One of the most satisfying elements of the shoot is how it leans into the physical absurdity of modeling. We all know a model’s life includes an impressive amount of contorting into positions no human body naturally wants to be in. Adding alcohol bottles to the mix only heightens the visual tension.

Limbs bend. Bodies slump. Expressions hover somewhere between boredom, regret, and detachment. It is fashion as performance art, with a wink.

The discomfort feels intentional. It reads as sassy social commentary rather than cheap shock value. The shoot understands that glamour often exists right next to exhaustion.

A Cast That Commits

Featuring Anja Rubik, Edita Vilkeviciute, Daria Strokous, Andreea Diaconu, and Lily Donaldson, the editorial benefits from models who know how to sell irony without overplaying it. These are women who can look divine while appearing entirely over it.

Their expressions do the heavy lifting. Disgusted. Amused. Detached. Somewhere between last call and the morning after.

One can only hope at least a few of them actually got plastered during the shoot. For authenticity. For morale.

Styling That Keeps It Sharp

Styled by Karl Templer, the fashion remains strong even as the setting unravels. Looks by Diane von Furstenberg, Saint Laurent, Moschino, and others maintain their authority amid the mess.

That contrast is the magic trick. Luxury standing firm while everything else spirals.

Final Take

“Pretty Wasted” is messy, funny, and uncomfortably honest. A reminder that glamour does not disappear when things get ugly. Sometimes it gets more interesting.
