Tom Ford’s Fall/Winter 2026 campaign is stripped back to the essentials: strong clothes, striking faces, and plenty of attitude.
Under creative director Haider Ackermann, the new campaign takes a more severe approach to the Tom Ford image. There is little in the way of scenery or decoration. Instead, photographer Stuart Winecoff places the models against a stark white background, using hard lighting that makes every detail of the clothes feel deliberate.
Liu Wen, Aluel Makuach, and Malick Bodian each bring something different to the images. They aren’t presented as a single cast with one uniform personality. Their expressions, poses, and styling give the campaign the feeling of a series of individual characters.
That works especially well with Ackermann’s approach to tailoring. One of the standout looks is a sculptural white sleeveless design finished with an exaggerated pointed collar and long panels falling from the neckline. It is minimal, but hardly quiet.
The tailoring continues with Aluel Makuach and Malick Bodian, who appear together in sharply cut suits. The proportions are clean and controlled, keeping the attention on the silhouette rather than distracting details.
A different look takes classic menswear in a stranger direction. Pale blue pinstripes are paired with an animal-print collar and dark tie, while sheer black stockings and pointed stilettos introduce a distinctly provocative note. It’s the sort of styling that feels very Tom Ford without simply repeating the brand’s familiar formulas.
The campaign’s blank backdrop makes these contrasts even more noticeable. There is nowhere for the eye to wander, so the tailoring, proportions, and styling have to do all the work.
And they do. Ackermann’s first Fall/Winter 2026 campaign for Tom Ford feels confident precisely because it doesn’t seem desperate to prove anything. The clothes are allowed to make the statement.
